More Fall Fun

It's been a busy fall so far and I'm way behind on getting photos updated, but I think this will get us pretty well caught up. Nico has been sick this week - just sick enough (fever) for me to need to keep him home, but not really sick enough to keep him from being active. Fortunately, the weather has been gorgeous so we've been able to hit up the parks and get outside. Last month, Niki came to visit us for a week. We had all sorts of adventures starting with an ill-fated trip to an abandoned mental hospital in Maryland. We finally made it there, in time for sunset, and had taken maybe 2 min. of pictures when we heard noises and saw a security car pull up. Some other folks had decided to hang out there too and had alerted security so we had to leave without getting the pictures. Don't worry, we went back another day and Niki took tons of photos. The next day we drove out to Delaware and Nico got his first taste of the East Coast beaches at Rehoboth. The drive was pretty and he loved the boardwalk. He kept laying down on it and didn't want to get up.

Nico has come up with all sorts of new tricks - he thinks it's really funny to stick his tongue out really far; he asks to get into his crib now so he can jump up and down in it; he can climb up on the bed upstairs and bounces on it; he thinks it's hilarious when the gabba characters say "grow, grow, grow"; he's taken up coloring and especially likes coloring on the table; he loves playing inside the car which is nice since it's getting colder; he has totally figured out how to use his feet to move on all his ride-on toys; if there's a towel on the table, he'll wipe his face, hands and the table; he loves his cars and trains now and makes noises as he drives them around; he's still a pretty good eater although he's a bit pickier these days and yogurt trumps everything. Unless he has a fever tomorrow (in which case we'll be going sooner) we'll be headed to the doctor next week for his check up and will get his stats. He's definitely grown; his 18 mo stuff is starting to get tight and short on him.

Here are the pics.
