While those of you in the PNW are whining about the cool summer, the rest of the country is sweltering through "Sweat Ceiling 2011" (so named by WA Post). Nico and I did our best to stay cool while still getting out to burn off energy. We spent time at what was previously known as our community pool and is now actually a community bath, played in our back patio before 10 a.m., sucked down popsicles, and roamed from air-conditioned location to air-conditioned location. Fortunately, we haven't had any power or A/C issues and we've survived the worst of it.
Nico is getting busier and busier. He is starting to try to climb out of his crib, without any success so far. He's chattering more and making a fun high-pitched squeal when he decides it's appropriate. He's figured out how to climb on just about all our furniture - couch, chairs, ottomans, stools, etc. He's pretty good at getting down too. Nico still eats most things we feed him, but has a serious addiction to freeze dried fruit and cheerios. We are off track for his check ups so won't get new statistics until the first week in August. In the meantime, keep cool!
